Celebrate New Brunswick Day in New Brunswick’s provincial art gallery!
On Monday, in celebration of our province, we welcome all residents of (and visitors to) New Brunswick free of charge at the Gallery (donations are always welcome).
Exhibitions on display include works form the permanent collection (Victorian Paintings, Where go the Boats, Recent Gifts) and by New Brunswick artists (Darren Emenau: Tributaries). Plus, in our shop, find works by local artists and artisans!

Family Art Classes
SECOND & LAST Sunday of each month between 2 – 4 pm
Families create wonderful memories and art together during these two hour sessions using a variety of mediums. Instructor Sandy Brewer’s classes are fun and relaxed, open to adults and children ages 5 and up, and all materials are provided.
FREE for members with a Family membership (including Family Curator’s Circle and Family Director’s Circle), $5 per person or $15 for a family of 4.

Thursday Night Art Classes in July and August: “Journaling the landscape ; Experiencing nature.” Join Peggy Holt, a recently retired art teacher from Leo Hayes High School, for a series that will involve a brief introduction to watercolor techniques and field notation. Later sessions will involve enhancing and expanding these notes to create studies and simple landscapes. Later sessions will include creating a painting inspired by work in the Gallery.
These sessions will be open to anyone at any level. Those who are seasoned artists can share their expertise with others through their work, while beginners are given instructions needed to feel confident. Participants will not be expected to show works or speak in front of the group if they do not feel confident to do so. This nature session is an opportunity to try something which you have not had time to do in the past.

Art for Tots is offered most Fridays at 10:00 am. These short workshops are weekly but casual (so you won’t miss a crucial part if you miss a week), and are geared for the very young accompanied by a parent. The only cost is an adult admission (so it’s FREE for members, and $10 per week for non-members). Materials are included. Please feel free to contact us to confirm that it is happening on a given week.

Les cours d’art des jeudis soirs : Pendant le mois de juillet: Peggy Holt, animera les Cours d’art du jeudi soir, en aquarelle. Les participants s’inspireront des oeuvres en exposition. Ce programme est offert en anglais.

Ces ateliers sont offerts le deuxième et le dernier dimanche du mois, de 14 h à 16h.

Les vendredis de 10h à 11h
Les enfants âgés de 2 à 4 ans et leurs parents sont invités à participer aux jeux artistiques, aux visites de la Galerie, aux activités artistiques pratiques and aux contes. Nous vous demandons de vous inscrire par téléphone au 506.458.2028. Ce programme est offert uniquement en anglais.
