Remembrance Day – Free Admission

The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is pleased to offer free admission to all this Remembrance Day, November 11th 2010.

Of particular note for the day, current exhibitions include A Brush With War: Military Art from Korea to Afghanistan, and an exhibition of Molly Lamb Bobak’s work. Bobak, a resident of Fredericton, was Canada’s first female war artist.

Other exhibitions include Canadian abstract art in a new Gallery space, Writing ON the Wall featuring works by Gordon Dunphy and poems by Michael Pacey, and selections from the permanent collection.

The current exhibitions will be changing over starting on November 14th, making this a great opportunity to see these exhibitions before they close.

The Gallery will be open from 12 noon to 5:30 PM.

Lecture with Tim Cook from the Canadian War Museum.

Our hours are changing / Changement aux heures d’ouverture

The leaves are changing, and so are our hours! As of the middle of October, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery will be switching to our winter hours, which means we will be closed to the public on Mondays.

This change will be effective as of the 18th of October, which means you have one last (and, conveniently, long) weekend to come visit us on a Monday. We will be open holiday hours this Monday, the 11th, 12 noon to 5:30 PM.
